Windows xp start up chinese

If I acquired a used computer, no matter who previously owned it, and no matter what language it's in, the first thing I would do with it would be to reinstall the operating system cleanly. You have no idea how the computer has been maintained, what has been installed incorrectly, what is missing, what viruses and spyware there may be, etc. I wouldn't want to live with somebody else's mistakes and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc. If he doesn't reinstall Windows cleanly, he's playing with fire.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. It always boot with the latest operating system installed. Anyone can guide me on how to modify the boot. You need to install 98 to the C Partition or it will not run. As for XP provided that you install it to different Partitions I've yet to have a problem but you need to remember to check where it is being installed to on the first restart.

If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Hi I had an existing English Windows XP running in my PC but it is not working now after I tried to install windows xp chinese version on the same hard disk.

My original aim is to install Windows XP chinese on the other partition e. But even before i did that, I am not able to boot up my english windows xp version. If you only want to display Zhuyin and not use them to type hanzi , you may want to use that IME instead. The Pinyin page has installation instructions for that IME. After installation, select soft keyboard 4, "Phonetic". It is not an input method, just a way to type Zhuyin.

Both the soft keyboard and your real keyboard become the Zhuyin Standard keyboard while that is selected. Although with some struggle you can get this done using fonts included with Windows, this will require some very arduous layout work.

Instead, try Microsoft Word's " Phonetic Guide " or a third-party font to place Zhuyin "ruby characters" next to your Chinese characters. Many find that Phonetic Guide is not easy to use The Pinyin setup page also includes information on switching languages and adjusting the Language bar and keyboard shortcuts.

That's all there is to it! Make sure the language pack you want to install is selected. The Control Panel should now be open. You can select the clock, language, and region by clicking them. You will be taken to the Change the display language link. You can choose a display language by selecting it from the Choose a display language drop-down list. If the new display language is not in effect right away, restart the computer. On the left side of the screen, click or tap Language.

Log off the system and then login again after it has been logged off.
