Come to the Ozark Folk Center for a great "learn while you have fun" vacation or a relaxing weekend getaway in the beauty of the Ozarks. This unique park has authentic crafters hand-making crafts throughout a village. We got the coolest handmade broom- and the kids made corn shuck dolls.
It also has musicians playing traditional folk instruments from the region- guitar, banjo, fiddle, upright bass, dulcimer and mandolin. Tour at your own pace, take in a nightly music show.
Restaurant and Lodging on site- all in a State Park! Peach fried pies are the best! This was a wonderful experience. We got a suite and it was perfect and not to pricy for what you got.
I enjoyed it and we did some hiking, listeners to some music. My kids were a bit young for the crafting and the sitting still. But the pool was great. The restaurant the Skillet was good- and the people were completely wonderful.
This is an excellent State Park. It is highly educational and entertaining. Photo 2 The Ozark Folk Center main complex area. Round top building is the 1, seat theater for live concerts. The smaller buildings all house live pioneer skills, crafts, and lifestyle demonstrations from the era.
The smaller gray roof just below the round theater is the Homespun Gift Shop. The large building with the gray roof at the opposite end of the Craft Village is the admin building and the seat auditorium. Across from the admin building where you see the white shuttle bus is the Skillet Restaurant. Photo 3 This clasp shows almost all of the 24 separate Craft Village demon- stration buildings.
There are also a couple of snack and beverage stops. Ready For An Adventure? Zipline Tour Options. Level 1 Zip Line Canopy Tour. The Level 1 Canopy Tours the perfect start for family fun!
